Is there a housing bubble?

Is there a housing bubble?

Quite the opposite! There is a definite housing shortage in Canada. So those that say that there is a bubble may want to look at supply and demand. There are many aspects as to why there is a shortage. Couple are that for a builder to actually break ground it is a very lengthy and complex process. That means it's expensive and unattractive for builders to build in Canada.

The other is that the government regulations in Ontario don't make it easy being a landlord. So that detracts rental housing providers.

Hello hello hello!!!

Hi everyone! My name is Steph and I am a registered nurse working in the ICU (transitioning to another unit- thanks to the past 20 months). My goal is to retire early and achieve financial freedom.  I bought my first property in 2018 and spontaneously decided to move cities a year later. Not wanting to sell it just yet I decided to rent it out. The renting process for me has been smooth so far which lead me to refinancing my first property to buy a single family house in my new city where I live upstairs and rent out the basement.

Hi, I'm Stan and I'm originally from the Niagara area but have lived in Vancouver since 96 and plan on moving back here to build our winery and help out on the family farm.  I work in the film industry in BC but the 12-16hr days can be tiring even though I enjoy it and the people I work with.  But its time to make a change.  I own an investment condo that I purchased in 2006 which is doing well and bought a house in Edmonton in 2012 which had many challenges with tenants and property managers and eventually sold it last year when Covid happpened so I can have some cash for a downpayment.  T

Hey there! I'm what we call a "working partner" and I'm looking for more JV partners. I own several properties in a few provinces and I've recently started to invest in the US. I'd love to connect with other like-minded individuals, get to know you and possibly work together.

Hello REITE Club!

I joined The REITE Club many months ago. The site was a good place to gather and share but this new website shows how much The REITE Club is maturing. I am looking forward to exploring everything it has to offer. I own two properties (6 doors). I consider myself a Novice REI because my mindset is not quite there yet to be considered a REI. The ownership of the two properties has certainly helped alot though. Our first property we used our own money. The second one was via the OPM method as a JV. My son is learning about Rent-To-Own with Daniel St. Jean. That is our next foray into REI.

Just a quick note to say hello to everyone. My son sent me your podcasts. I am a sales rep in the flooring business so I am in my car most of the day and I have had many of you this week keeping me company !! I really enjoyed your podcasts and the energy everyone has! I enjoy being around and part of a group of positive upbeat people that are "doers". I like to focus and then take action but I have very little knowledge in REI. I look forward to growing with you!!

I am newly onboard the REI adventure and I am jumping in with my introduction. My rental unit in the basement of my home has been my introduction to this exciting world and I want to learn more. In addition, I would like to build passive income streams that will allow me to work smarter not harder. In a nutshell, I love to learn, network and travel so anticipate that this is a brilliant "win-win" with the REI world. Building community is also one of my main drivers as it has proven to be so rewarding and necessary in these unusual times for a social thriver like me.
