Real estate has seen incredible gains over the last few years across most markets. That coupled with increased competition and low-interest rates has created a feeding frenzy on every property and left many real estate investors frustrated with missed opportunities or limited to no cash flow being possible on many properties.

Add on top the potential for missed payments from tenants and the traditional one or two-unit properties no longer appear to be viable or are too risky for the average investor to take on.

Ottawa-based real estate investor Francois Lanthier has decided that Ontario is not the real estate investing market it used to be so he and his partners have looked further afield.

One such place has been Alberta and Francois shares some recent deals he has secured in the province and also why it is such an attractive proposition for real estate investors.

Despite a slowing property market in some areas and further expected interest rate increases the demand for real estate investment properties in Central and Western Canada has been very strong during the first quarter of 2022.
